AVELA SWIM

It all started in childhood, amidst fabrics, threads, and the sound of a sewing machine. My grandmothers were seamstresses—from them I inherited not only the technique but the passion: that way of looking at a fabric and already knowing what it wants to become.

Over time, I studied fashion design, and of all the possible lines, it was swimwear that made me fall in love—because in no other garment is there such a direct connection to nature, to the sea, and to the body, free and without barriers.

This is how Avela Swim was born: a brand focused on dressing the woman who seeks flattering silhouettes and timeless garments, made with the same intention with which my grandmother sewed—thinking of the person who will wear it, not the trend of the moment.

The name AVELA carries that same duality. The bird (ave)—free, light, moved by the wind. And the sail (vela)—with direction, with intention, molded by that same wind. One name. Two natures. The same woman who designs, and the same woman for whom I design.

Our purpose has not changed: to make every woman feel powerful and free in her own body. We don't sell bikinis—we sell the moment when the water touches the skin and everything else disappears.

Each piece passes through the hands of Colombian female heads of household—the same heritage of craftsmanship with which all of this began in my own family. That cannot be manufactured. It is inherited.

Colombian design. Handmade. For her.
